Common CAMS (Camera angles, Movements, and Shots) in Thrillers:
High-angle shots can make the victim seem more vulnerable in a certain situation. Tracking shots are used so that they can follow a stalker or a killer chasing the victim. Then close-up shots which are used to show the reaction of the victim creating tension and suspense yet again.
Common Mis-En-Scene (CLAMPS) in Thrillers:
Costumes - In thrillers, normally the good person or the "victim" in this instance wears normal or bright-colored clothes while the villain usually wears dark-colored clothes. As well as just regular clothing in the time set in the film to create a sense of realism for the audience. Thus hinting it can also happen to them at an unexpected time creating endless suspense.
Lighting - The use of low and dark lighting to create mystery and suspense by hiding the surroundings of the main character, or by creating a dark scenery which further creates suspense due to something unexpectedly popping out of the darkness.
Acting - The acting in thrillers is to support the sense of suspense and mystery. The behavior of the actor playing the victim is to seem nervous and uneasy at most times. They are also oblivious to what is going on around them, which adds to the mysterious factor in thrillers. Their body language consists of a closed posture, and avoiding eye contact to seem trapped and or threatened.
Makeup—In thrillers, makeup is cosmetics and prosthetics used to make characters look natural while enhancing their features.
Props - It is common to have some sort of weaponry like guns or knives in thrillers due to possible confrontations between antagonists and protagonists, and it adds a layer of suspense.
Setting - Settings in thrillers are usually in urban areas or rural areas, both to create a sense of realism since it lets the audience know it can happen to them at any time.
Common Editing in Thrillers:
In thrillers, they use fast and slow-paced editing. This is to create suspense and tension in a scene.
Common Sound in Thrillers:
Normally the use of sound in thrillers is sometimes no sound throughout scenes. Complete silence creates tension in a specific scene, hinting that something might happen. Also, music with tempo changes is also used to create suspense in a scene.

What elements of the genre "Thriller" do we like?
The fact that there is a lot of tension and suspense is what we like most. It keeps us entertained and helps us not become bored during the movie. As well as the mystery in thrillers, it always keeps our brains running trying to figure out what is truly going on.
What elements of the genre "Thriller" does not appeal to us?
When sometimes some scenes are just too dark. It makes it hard to really see what is going on and it bothers us just a bit even though they do it to build suspense.
