Group Members Music Video

 Soon, my group and I will be starting to do our music video; the filming, acting, props, editing, and sounds. I am looking forward to this project, not just because it seems like a fun assignment, but because of the people that I will be completing this project with. Most of my group is other 10th graders, Ben and Cannon, but there is one senior, and his name is Carson. To start, there's many reasons I am working with Carson, one of them being the fact that he is one of my friends older brother and my friend. This is my first class with Carson, and seeing how he pays attention, is respectful, is smarter than me and has much more experience in basically everything, he is a great addition to the group. I can't wait to see what ideas Carson brings, and can't wait to put this music video together with him. Another group member I'm working with is Ben, I was introduced to Ben freshman year, and for the first quarter of the year, I didn't really talk to him. We went to different middle schools, and before freshman year, I had never seen him before. Eventually, we became friends, and that is one of the reasons why I am glad to be working with Ben. Being friends isn't the only reason why I am working with Ben though, but also his determination and my own personal experience with him. I have been partnered up with Ben for big projects before, and he has never disappointed. Ben always turns in his work on time, rarely slacks off, and is always taking considerations from other group members on how the project can benefit. I am glad to be working with Ben, and look forward to filming our music video together. The last groupmate I would like to talk about is Cannon, Cannon and I went to the same middle school, and while we didn't have classes together, we were still familiar with each other. We weren't exactly friends, but we also didn't not know who each other were. Cannon is usually a pretty reserved guy, which would make you think he isn't open to much group contribution, however, he is. Cannon finishes assignments on time and has knowledge on media, which makes him a great addition to the group. I look forward to editing and making this music video with Cannon. Overall, my group seems pretty great, and so far I think that working with them will be a good experience. I definitely think I will be working them for future projects.

In the past, my group and I have always used Cap Cut as our main source of editing. When it came time to start editing, we knew we were going to use Cap Cut . There had been a problem when we first started, however, as I've mentioned in past blogs . The US was going to ban Cap Cut , and they did. Use of Cap Cut in America was banned for around a week which frightened my group. Luckily, we still had not begun editing, so this was not a stopping point. My group and I just chose to use Cap Cut because it is the easiest and most diverse software there is for free . For one, the software's import and export features made it super easy to put in the clips and audio we needed. For the clips, all we had to do was drag the files from our File Explorer into the app. The clips were then put into CapCuts “library ”, And we're made easy to browse through. CCR Commercial

  Creative Critical Reflection   How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?   T he product which I used, Powerade, followed most of the traditional conventions of its past commercials, but also made sure to challenge some of them. The norm for the conventions for a sports drink commercial like P owerade would be fast jump cuts, inspirational music, quick paced movements, and sweating. While my group and I’s commercial does follow most  of the conventions, it also challenges some and goes against the grain of normal conventions of a sports drink commercial .
